Short, honest answers to the questions people ask most about downloading Instagram Reels with SaveReelsApp.
Can I download Reels from private accounts?
No. SaveReelsApp only works with public Reels and video posts. We never ask for your Instagram login, and private content is not accessible.
Is it legal to download Instagram Reels?
Saving a public Reel for your own offline viewing is generally fine, but the video belongs to its creator. Don't re-upload, sell or use someone else's Reel commercially without permission, and credit the creator when you share.
What quality will I get?
The highest H.264 quality Instagram provides for that Reel, usually 720p or 1080p. We don't add a watermark or re-compress the video unless conversion is needed for compatibility.
Why is there no sound in the preview?
Browsers mute video previews by default. The downloaded MP4 includes the original audio. Reels whose audio Instagram has removed for copyright reasons will be silent.
Can I download only the audio or music?
Not yet. Downloads are MP4 videos with sound for now.
Can I download Instagram Stories?
Stories download is coming soon. Right now, public Reels and video posts (/reel/, /p/, /tv/ links) are supported.
Do you keep my links or videos?
No. Links are processed on the fly and videos are streamed straight to you. Nothing is stored.
Is SaveReelsApp free?
Yes. It's free with no account and no download limits.

No. SaveReelsApp is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Instagram or Meta.
